Are you an experienced professional in deposit operations ready to take the lead at an innovative challenger bank? We're seeking a dynamic Deposit Operations Lead to oversee our Savings and Current Accounts, ensuring excellence in daily operations, customer interactions, and regulatory compliance.

What You'll Do:

• Operational Management:
• Lead all aspects of deposit operations from origination to maturity.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to boost efficiency and quality.
• Analyze performance metrics to drive improvements and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with sales, legal, compliance, finance, and risk management teams.
• Monitor operational risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Manage rate changes, product launches, and ensure documentation accuracy.
• Oversee product forecasting and performance analytics.
• Compliance and Risk Management:
• Stay updated on regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory compliance and internal policies.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks in collaboration with the risk management team.
• Implement effective controls and audit trails for a robust control environment.
• Team Leadership and Development:
• Lead, coach, and support a team of deposit operations professionals.
• Foster a positive team culture and encourage collaboration.
• Conduct performance evaluations and identify training needs for continuous improvement.
• Relationship Management:
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
• Address customer escalations or complaints promptly and effectively.
• Technology and Automation:
• Leverage technology and automation tools to optimize operations.
• Explore opportunities to streamline processes and enhance customer experience through digital solutions.

What We're Looking For:

• Strong commercial experience in a financial institution or in UK deposits.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or related field; professional certifications are a plus.
• Deep knowledge of deposit operations and payment flows.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in core banking platforms and understanding of payment schemes and open banking.
• High level of integrity and commitment to compliance and risk management.
