About the role:

We are seeking a Deployment Manager to lead the planning and coordination required for large-scale customer events, exercises, demonstrations, and product deployments. Reporting to the VP of Program Management, this role provides cross-organizational support and serves as the central coordination point between customers, partners, and internal teams. The Deployment Manager translates external requirements into an executable plan and coordinates the people, equipment, approvals, logistics, and information needed for successful execution.

Travel and Work Requirements

Significant travel is expected to support customer and partner planning meetings, site surveys, deployment and readiness reviews, and selected demonstrations, exercises, test events, and product deployments. Travel frequency and duration will vary based on event schedules and customer needs and may include multi-day trips or short-notice changes. Travel supports the Deployment Manager’s planning, coordination, readiness, and on-site execution responsibilities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with customers, partners, and internal teams to define requirements, objectives, responsibilities, timelines, locations, and execution plans for customer events, exercises, demonstrations, and deployments.
  • Develop and maintain deployment schedules, milestones, agendas, and coordination plans; track open questions, requests for information, actions, decisions, dependencies, and risks through resolution.
  • Identify and coordinate readiness requirements, including site surveys, site and visitor access, spectrum authorizations, security paperwork, approvals, and other execution prerequisites.
  • Coordinate required personnel, equipment, logistics, travel, and technical support across multiple internal teams and external partners.
  • Confirm readiness with stakeholders and support day-of coordination as needed, adapting plans to schedule changes, site conditions, and emerging issues.
  • Provide status updates on progress, readiness, risks, and dependencies; escalate customer, schedule, resource, access, approval, or technical issues.
  • Assist with post-deployment follow-up; document outcomes, lessons learned, and remaining actions; maintain deployment plans, meeting notes, action logs, and related records.

Required Experience:

  • Three or more years of experience in deployment coordination, field operations, event planning, project coordination, or a related role supporting technology products or services.
  • Experience coordinating multi-stakeholder activities involving customers, internal teams, vendors, or subcontractors.
  • Ability to develop and maintain schedules, track actions and dependencies, identify risks, and follow through on open items.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience leading planning meetings and communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, respond to changing requirements, and travel to customer or deployment locations as needed.
  • Proficiency with project tracking and collaboration tools.

Preferred Experience:

  • Supported government, public safety, defense, or other mission-focused customers.
  • Planned or executed field deployments, site surveys, installation activities, logistics, site access, security requirements, or spectrum coordination.
  • Worked hands-on with wireless communications, networking, or hardware products in demonstrations, exercises, or deployments.
  • Coordinated external service providers, installation partners, or subcontractors.
