Job Title: DMAC Hardware Support Technician

Job Description

This role focuses on providing hands-on hardware support for Deployments, Moves, Adds and Changes (DMAC) within a fast-paced financial markets environment in New York City. You will support large technology move projects as well as day-to-day hardware activities, including installations, imaging and troubleshooting of end-user equipment. The position combines technical field work with administrative tasks such as documenting activities, updating asset records and communicating progress to users via email. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, when required, is essential to support time-sensitive trading floor and business operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform Deployments, Moves, Adds and Changes (DMAC) for end-user hardware across trading floor and office environments.
• Carry out hardware moves, disconnects and reconnects, ensuring all equipment is correctly installed and fully operational.
• Install and configure docking stations, monitors, monitor arms, HVD devices, laptops and related peripherals.
• Image and refresh laptops and desktops, including Windows 11 builds and data migrations as required.
• Provide day-to-day desktop hardware support, including basic troubleshooting of Windows and hardware issues.
• Coordinate technology requests, including procurement of systems access and engagement of vendors for telephony and data installations.
• Use multiple request management tools to track and ensure installations and changes are completed by target dates.
• Respond promptly and professionally to email and telephone enquiries from internal users, providing clear updates and customer-focused support.
• Document all work performed, maintaining accurate logs, asset updates and status reports on open requests and tasks.
• Maintain detailed timesheet logs in Excel and the Fieldglass tool, ensuring accurate recording of activities and time spent.
• Follow established processes for wire management and cable routing to maintain a neat and safe workspace.
• Adapt to changing business needs and shifting priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail.
• Collaborate effectively with team members, contributing to a supportive and efficient hardware support function.
• Ensure compliance with internal standards and procedures for hardware deployments, moves and changes.
• Support large-scale move and refresh projects, working to tight deadlines and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Technology Move, Add, Change coordination and/or fulfilment, ideally within a financial markets or trading floor environment.
• Hands-on experience with hardware moves, adds and changes, deployments, installations, imaging and refresh activities.
• Strong knowledge of installing and supporting docking stations, monitors, monitor arms, HVD devices, laptops and related peripherals.
• Practical experience with Windows 11, including imaging, data migrations and desktop support.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites, including O365, for documentation, communication and reporting.
• Proven customer service background with the ability to respond professionally to email and telephone enquiries.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear user updates and project correspondence.
• Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, when business needs require.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple requests and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-intensive environment.
• High attention to detail and accuracy when documenting work, updating assets and maintaining status reports.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing business requirements while remaining detail-focused.
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively and act as a reliable team player.
• Fast learner capable of quickly understanding new tools, processes and technologies.
• Competence in using Excel and request management tools for logging activities, timesheets and tracking tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• A+ certification is highly desirable and considered a strong advantage.
• Experience supporting a trade floor environment or major financial firm technology operations.
• Familiarity with multiple request and asset management tools used in large enterprise environments.
• Experience with telephony and data coordination, including working with external vendors to schedule installations.
• background in hardware wire management and cable organisation best practices.
• Exposure to refresh programmes and large-scale deployment projects in corporate settings.

Work Environment

The role is based in a fast-paced, deadline-intensive financial markets environment, supporting trading floor and office users. You will work primarily on-site with enterprise hardware and software, including Windows 11, Microsoft Office Suites and O365, as well as docking stations, monitors, monitor arms, HVD devices and laptops. The position typically involves a 40-hour work week, with the expectation of evening and weekend work as needed to support moves and project deadlines. The dress code is business casual. You will use tools such as Excel, Fieldglass and request management systems to document activities, track assets and manage tasks, operating within structured processes and high standards of accuracy and reliability.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
