As the Michigan Department of Transportation’s (MDOT) global data specialist, you will be responsible for the following when data is shared externally to MDOT:

  • Managing MDOT’s master and reference data repository.
  • Serving as a key link in supporting information governance-related policies and goals as an information steward on the Information Stewards Board to:
    1. Fulfill information governance objectives.
    2. Adhere to department data standards and policies.
    3. Ensure data integrity and good data management.
  • Provide business analytics and business intelligence services such as research, analysis and dashboard/scorecard creation related to MDOT’s master and reference data.

Examples of duties

Education
Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.

Experience
Four years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level.
