As a Department Supervisor, you will lead the daily operations of the Emergency Department Registration team, ensuring patients receive an exceptional experience from the moment they arrive. You will serve as a mentor, technical resource and coach, fostering a collaborative, inclusive environment where caregivers feel supported and empowered to succeed. By promoting accountability, engagement and continuous learning, you will help your team deliver accurate, efficient registration services while supporting Cleveland Clinic's commitment to world-class patient care.
In this leadership role, you will oversee workflow, implement departmental goals, monitor performance and identify opportunities to improve processes that enhance both the patient and caregiver experience. You will partner with leadership to drive operational excellence, ensure compliance with organizational standards and develop caregivers through ongoing training and professional development. Healthcare registration experience, preferably in an emergency department or other high-volume registration setting, is strongly preferred.
A caregiver in this position works Day/Evening Rotation| 12:30pm - 9:00pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Supervise caregivers in daily operations.
Maintain staffing levels.
Approve and schedule paid time off and leave requests.
Provide leadership and training.
Coordinate and provide orientation and education.
Analyzeworkflowand procedures.
Identifyand implement opportunities to improve procedures, processes, speed,qualityand effectiveness.
Ensure cross coverage.
Develop an effective work team.
Encourage and support morale building activities.
Communicatewith caregivers and provide orientation on policies.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
HighSchoolDiploma or GED
2years of experience as a work leader, teamleador project manager
OR 1year of supervisory experience in a related field
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Associate’sDegree
Healthcare registration experience
