We’re looking for a Department Manager - Transport to lead our transport function and help keep our operation moving safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. This role is about more than keeping the wheels turning. You’ll lead people, manage performance, build strong client and stakeholder relationships, and spot opportunities to grow the business.

  • Lead The Transport Department to deliver safe, high-quality work on time and within budget.
  • Champion Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards across the department.
  • Lead And develop team capability, performance, and day-to-day operations.
  • Manage Financial performance, processes, systems, and department resources.
  • Support Pricing, tenders, quotes, and estimates for transport-related work.
  • Build Strong relationships with internal teams, customers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Oversee Subcontractor agreements and contractual processes end to end.
  • Identify Improvement and growth opportunities for the Transport Department.
  • Ensure Work is delivered to client expectations and company standards.

  • Significant Experience in the transport industry.
  • Experience Leading logistics operations and managing medium-sized teams.
  • Strong Commercial awareness and proven financial acumen.
  • Strategic mindset, with the ability to spot growth opportunities and improve performance.
  • Experience In support services business functions.
  • The Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and keep people aligned when things get busy.
  • Current Class 4 driver’s licence is preferred.
  • Leadership style that is practical, respectful, and low ego.
  • Strong focus on safety, accountability, communication, and doing what you say you’ll do.
  • Collaborative, team-focused approach with the drive to build capability and get the best out of people.
