About the role
We are looking for a Department Manager
for our newly established Digital Project Management Department within the
Engineering Model Transformation (EMT) area.
As Department Manager, you
will build and lead a team of project managers and UX designers, defining roles, competencies, and ways of working to effectively execute
internal digital development projects.
You will play a key role in delivering
AI and digital solutions that will shape the future of how we design and
deliver pharmaceutical facilities. This includes translating
NNE’s strategy into a clear portfolio of digital and AI initiatives, ensuring
strong prioritization, governance, and measurable outcomes.
Furthermore, you will act as a key interface between strategy and delivery, partnering with
senior stakeholders across functions to drive alignment, strengthen global
collaboration, and continuously develop capabilities within a digital and agile
framework.

How you might spend your days
As Department Manager, you’ll be working with a highly
skilled project management and UX team that will drive multi-disciplinary projects,
where your daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Building and leading a team of digital project managers and UX designers,
fostering a culture where
employees take ownership, growing their capabilities and competences and
create results through clear direction and continuous support
- Translate NNE’s strategy into a prioritized portfolio of digital and AI initiatives, ensuring clear governance and alignment towards the steering committee governing the strategic tracks.
- Drive execution excellence by assessing new initiatives in collaboration with the department AI strategy, innovation, and adoption, including business impact and value realisation, initiate initiatives setting the right team, followed by planning, and ongoing progress report,
- Setting the right project team with resources across your team,
Global IT and Line of Business
- Support the good collaboration with Project Management colleagues
in Bangalore, India
- Work in close partnership with management teams across EMT to
coordinate and manage the digital delivery flow and data foundation on our
digital projects.

What you bring to the role
In all positions, there are some things that are preferred, and others, a bonus. If you do not meet all the qualifications listed below, you are welcome to offer alternative experience that you think would be valuable in this role:
- A relevant higher education within engineering, digital technologies, or similar (e.g., M.Sc. or B.Sc. in engineering, IT, or related field)
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in people management, e.g., as team leader, department manager or project manager
- Proven track record in managing complex projects or project portfolios, translating strategy into concrete initiatives and measurable outcomes
- Experience establishing or scaling new departments, teams, and capabilities
- You speak and write English fluently
- If you have experience from the pharmaceutical and/or engineering industry, that is a plus
