Job Description

We have career opportunity as a Department Manager of our Receiving department. The Department Manager is responsible for unloading truck shipments and distribution of merchandise to the sales floor. Department Managers are responsible to provide the highest level of customer service and report to the Store Manager. This position will require ability to work days, nights, and every other weekend. Extensive knowledge of warehouse operations and forklift use is needed.

Hourly Pay Range: $17.00-$19.00 depending on experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Direct and coordinate the receipt and distribution of merchandise at the retail store.
  2. Set priorities for distribution of new merchandise within the assigned department.
  3. Ensure adequate inventory in all areas of assigned department.
  4. Utilize appropriate receiving procedures to accurately record products received.
  5. Assist with the training and direction provided to new department team members.
  6. Clean & Organize Department
  7. Ensure that safety is practiced when handling merchandise by employees and customers.

MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  1. Ability to work an irregular work schedule
  2. Excellent customer service skills required
  3. Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds
  4. Long periods of standing
  5. Frequent bending and twisting

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

  1. High School Diploma preferred
  2. Previous warehouse and forklift experience preferred.
  3. Customer Service training and or experience preferred.

  1. Retail Store Environment.
