OF POSITION
Responsible for the leadership of R&D and New Product Development of Polymer PTC products that deliver technology leadership in the marketplace. Continually improve and develop the conductive polymer manufacturing process to maintain a best-in-class standard. Take a leading role in the development of new conductive polymer formulations through a background of polymer formulation development, polymer processing, and irradiation treatment. Cooperate closely with all indirect functions such as market management, product management, QA, and operations to ensure alignment with market and manufacturing needs. Works in partnership with market management to develop products and technology that enables Bourns to create and develop technology leading CP solutions for each market segment (Industrial, Consumer, Telecom and Automotive). Actively manages projects from concept to customer in a highly efficient manner. Keeps abreast of technology and application trends and provide leadership for new products and innovative technology development. Builds and maintains a team of excellence through careful selection of key personnel including promotions of existing employees.

Oral: Mandarin Chinese and good command of English. Excellent communication skills are required to communicate instructions and present ideas, concepts, and solutions within the company.
WRITTEN:Excellent written skills to issue instructions, present ideas, concepts, and solutions to all levels of personnel via presentations, graphs, charts, documents, etc.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT, SCHEDULING AND PLANNING
Maintain project schedules through solid project management procedures. Apply resource management to provide engineering resources to achieve the product line growth plan. Good time-management skills, be able to continually evaluate priorities and make appropriate adjustments
BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: Technical degree from an accredited four-year college or university is required. Technical post graduate masters or PhD is preferred.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Management experience of an engineering team is a requirement; Ten years of progressively responsible experience in polymer material development; Experience with conductive polymer formulation development, polymer processing and irradiation treatment is highly desirable.
