Beauty Department Manager

In this exciting and rewarding role of Beauty Manager at Superstore, you will invigorate excellence in your team, motivating and engaging them to surpass their targets. As a customer-centric leader, you will prioritize the needs of our valued customers while employing strategic thinking to fostera strong teamculture conducive toachieving/exceedingsales and cost to serve targets.

In addition to your managerial responsibilities, you will also play an integral part as a BeautyExpert Yourexpertisein advising customers on products, application techniques, andlatest trendswill enable them to make informed choices that align with their unique styles. By providing comprehensive information, advice,applicationguidance, and informationon beauty products offered by Superstores beautydepartment;you will drive sales growth whilemaintainingexceptional levels of customer satisfaction.

Whatyou willdo:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations ofthe beauty department

  • Ensure the department meets or exceeds sales and profitability goals

  • Manage departmental expenses, shrink and labour

  • Communicate regularly with store management and other department managers to ensure store-wide goals are met

  • Possess a “selling is fun” attitude

  • Builds customer loyalty through follow up and repeat business

  • Promote sales of beauty productsandprovide information on new or existing products

  • Train and develop departmentcolleaguesin customer service, product knowledge, and merchandising

  • Seeks out development opportunities such as through workshop/education sessions to ensure product knowledge is current;Participatein workshop/education sessions and learn through other online offerings to ensure product knowledge is current and up to date I.e. The Academy, vendor schools, YouTube, etc.

  • Ensure merchandise is stocked, displayed, and priced appropriately

  • Maintain a clean and safe department for customers andcolleagues

  • Be constantly on the lookout forgreat talentto join our team

  • Lead,coachand motivate colleagues to improve productivity,engagement,and retention

  • Be committed tomaintainingmerchandising and operational standards

  • Building and leading diverse teams that foster a workplace of inclusiveness and belonging

What you bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred

  • Previousretail management experience, preferably in abeauty department

  • Proven consultative skills to provide information,advice,and guidance to customers on Superstore’s beauty products

  • Selling experience with a proventrack record

  • Strong communicationskills to make presentations, instruct individuals and groups on the use of cosmetics

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop associates

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Proficiencyin basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office

  • Knowledge of retail operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and customer service

  • Commitment to providing excellence in customer service

PhysicalRequirements:

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends

  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.

  • Punctual and reliable

  • Ability to work in a fragrance filled environment

  • Ability to climb ladder

  • Ability to bend and stretch to stock shelves
