Senior Electrical Department Head / Lead Electrical Engineer- Seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead and oversee electrical engineering operations, manage project execution, and provide technical direction across a variety of projects. This individual will play a key role in department leadership, business development, team development, and maintaining strong client relationships.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive electrical engineering experience, strong project management capabilities, and the ability to lead a team while remaining actively involved in technical design and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the electrical engineering department, including workload management, staffing, project assignments, and team development.
• Provide technical leadership and oversight for electrical engineering projects from concept through completion.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, deliverables, and overall project performance.
• Review and approve electrical designs, drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical reports.
• Mentor and develop engineers and designers, providing guidance and support for professional growth.
• Establish and maintain engineering standards, quality control procedures, and best practices.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, architects, contractors, and clients.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying opportunities for additional work.
• Support business development efforts, including proposals, project pursuits, and client presentations.
• Assist with recruiting, hiring, and developing electrical engineering staff.
• Ensure projects meet applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 12+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience.
• Previous experience leading an electrical engineering team, department, or project group.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or required depending on project needs.
• Strong background in electrical system design, engineering calculations, and technical reviews.
• Experience managing multiple projects, budgets, schedules, and client expectations.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor, develop, and lead engineering professionals.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with business development and client relationship management preferred.
