How You Will Contribute

The Membership Coordinator plays an integral role in the day-to-day operations of the Membership team, with keen attention to detail in service to our member community. The coordinator also provides support to the Membership (services, communications, and engagement) team and as a liaison with Development Operations.

Specifically, you will:

Providing Member Support via phone and email, work week including one consistent weekend day.Assist the Membership team in the daily operations of the Membership Program including the coordination of mailing materials, processing of gifts, and preparation and mailing of acknowledgement letters, and assisting with member retention solutions.Assist in the coordination, solution creation, and accommodation of special requests from members as possible. Participate in the conceptualization, planning, and creation of collateral materials used to promote membership (programs, acquisition, renewal, upgrade, etc.) and other benefits designed to increase engagement with the Museum.Support the Membership team in tracking concerns and solutions to ensure consistent and long-term relationship building and solution creationCoordinate with Development Operations and IIT to create and maintain accuracy of records and ensure ease of use for member benefits.As a member of the Membership Team, provide administrative support as needed. Represents the Membership department at various Museum events and activities.Provide general administrative support to Membership Team as needed.Perform other duties as assigned.

Your background and experience include:

Exceptional written and oral communication skillsStrong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to be flexible and creative. Computer proficiency including Microsoft Word and Excel required. Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge highly desirable

Position and Compensation Details

The hourly rate for this position is $20.48This position is Full-Time, Non-Exempt, and 35 hours per week.This position is part of the AFSCME Local 397 bargaining unit. This position reports to the Manager of Member ExperiencePhysical requirements:Able to remain stationary for extended periods of time, to utilize computers and other office equipment required of this job, to perform physically administrative duties in a typical interior office environment, gallery, or exhibit space, and to access most public and staff areas of the museum campus.Work week includes one weekend day.Background check required after a conditional job offer is made. Consideration of the background check will be tailored to the requirements of the job.
