and Responsibilities:

This position is a temporary, full-time Qlik Developer position housed onsite within the Office of Environmental Accountability and Transparency. As a Qlik Developer at DEP, you will have the exciting opportunity to work with one of the nation’s largest environmental data sets. You will be able to help protect, conserve and manage the state’s natural resources by uncovering new insights through analyzing and visualizing agency data.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of data visualization techniques and best practices
  • Proficient in gathering and cleaning data from various sources
  • Familiar with statistical methods and techniques to identify patterns, trends, correlations, and anomalies
  • Ability to develop and maintain accurate, detailed documentation
  • Ability to write SQL queries to extract data from source systems
  • Good oral and written communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least one year of verifiable related experience in data visualization and analysis with Qlik Sense or Qlik Cloud.
  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a data science, computer science, information technology, library science, environmental science, or related graduate program as evidenced by transcript and/or degree. A credential evaluation report from an approved agency must be submitted along with all foreign degrees.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with data visualization tools like Qlik, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Familiarity with environmental data.
  • Experience with data management (coding, analyzing, visualizing, cleansing, etc.).
  • Experience with Oracle SQL Developer, TOAD, or similar data tools.

Pay:

$25.00 to $35.00 per hour depending on experience
