Provide direct patient care as outlined in the employment contract, including diagnosis, treatment and/or referral. Maintain accurate dental records on each patient, complying with all local, state and federal requirements. Supervise the dental hygienist and dental assistants, providing guidance and quality assurance. Assist the dental receptionist providing input on the procedures completed, assisting with the completion of the encounter and computer input. Participate in In-Service workshops, continuing education, quality assurance and peer review. Adhere to all professional by-laws, administrative and personnel policies and procedures. Sign and co-sign any and all forms necessary in the daily operations of the department. Work closely with the Chief Executive Officer in improving efficiency and productivity. Participate in the development of goals and objectives and various audits to monitor that these goals and objectives are being met. To engage in Patient Centered Medical Home initiatives, including participating as part of the Clinical Care Team. Other duties and responsibilities as requested by the Chief Dental Officer and/or Administration.
