Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time
Salary Range: $35.00 - $45.00 Hourly
POSITION SUMMARY
*This is a temporary position expected to last from 3/23/2026 until 7/10/2026. Employment dates are negotiable but not expected to last longer than 15 weeks. 40 hours per week is preferred but negotiable.
The Dental Hygienist provides preventative dental care, teeth cleaning, and patient education on oral hygiene.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preventive Care: Perform thorough dental prophylaxis, including removing plaque, tartar, and stains from above and below the gum line.
- Clinical Screenings: Conduct initial mouth examinations, review medical histories, and screen for signs of oral cancer or periodontal disease.
- Radiography: Take and develop high-quality digital X-rays to assist the dentist in diagnosing underlying issues.
- Periodontal Therapy: Perform advanced scaling and root planing for patients with gum disease.
- Patient Education: Demonstrate proper brushing and flossing techniques and counsel patients on nutrition’s impact on oral health.
- Advanced Procedures: Apply fluoride treatments and dental sealants, and, where licensed, administer local anesthesia.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and clinical notes in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:
- Texas Hygienist License required
- 2 years’ experience as a licensed Texas hygienist required
