Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Salary: $18.10 – $24.00/hour (based on experience)

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team at the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center. This position supports both clinical and administrative dental services to ensure high-quality care for our veterans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide chair-side assistance for general and specialty dental procedures (restorative, prosthodontic, surgical)

• Prepare treatment rooms and instruments in accordance with procedural requirements

• Assist during procedures by retracting tissue, suctioning, and passing instruments

• Take and process digital radiographs

• Follow strict infection control protocols and VA safety and privacy standards

• Support the medical center’s mission with a customer-focused, respectful attitude toward patients, staff, visitors, and volunteers

• Work under the general supervision of the Dental Chief or designee

• Must be available to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, with occasional Saturday shifts (8:00 AM – 12:00 PM)

Qualifications:

• No license required – DANB certification is accepted but not mandatory

• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required

• Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to patient care

• Prior dental assisting experience preferred, especially in a clinical or VA setting
