Dental office between Bloor West/Queen West area is looking for a Dental Assistant Level II full-time.

POSITION/JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Experienced Dental Assistant, ideally 2 yrs experience
• Received Dental Assistant Diploma from accredited assisting school

LOCATION: West of Lansdowne/ Queen St. West

HOURS:

• Mon 9:30-6:30
• Tues 7:30-3:30
• Thurs 9:30-7:30
• Fri 7:30-1:30
• Sat 7:30-2 (1 a month)

COMPENSATION:

• $26-$31 ​depending on experience and performance

JOB OVERVIEW:

• Assists with restorative and cosmetic procedures
• Sterilizing instruments
• Placement and removal of rubber dams
• Taking x-rays of patients' teeth and exposing dental diagnostic x-rays
• Using suction and swabs to keep patients' mouths clear and dry during procedures
• Taking preliminary impressions of teeth for study models
• Applying pit and fissure sealants and topical anesthetics
• Questioning patients about their medical history and recording the information for dentist's reference
• Advising patients on dental care, oral hygiene and plaque control programs
• Making patients of all ages feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment
