Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and families to the office with professionalism and warmth
- Conduct pre- and post operative consultations
- Prepare patients for treatments or checkups, ensuring comfort and reassurance
- Select, prepare, and arrange instruments, equipment, and materials for procedures
- Sterilize instruments according to OSHA and CDC standards
- Assist dentists chairside using 4-handed dentistry techniques
- Complete lab-related tasks as instructed
- Provide oral hygiene and post operative care instructions
- Maintain clean, stocked, and organized operatories
- Schedule patient appointments and manage accurate records
- Collaborate with the team and perform other duties as assigned
Skills & Attributes
- Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization, and infection control procedures
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a clinical setting
- Proficiency with dental office software and scheduling systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children, parents, and team members
- Organized, detail oriented, and dependable
- Thrives in a busy, team-focused environment
- Additional certifications such as N2O administration a plus
- Bilingual abilities a plus
