Job Description

Assists in providing dental services including: preparing patients for exam/treatment; sterilizing instruments, maintaining equipment, mixing amalgams, cements, composites, taking dental x-rays, maintaining records, performing assigned lab procedures.

Skills: | 1 year experience

Education: | To calrify -- certification issued by NYSED is not required. (no psv required).Minimum Qualifications:
1. A four year high school diploma or its educational Equivalent, Including or supplemented by a course of study consisting of at least 600 instructional hours at an approved school for denatl assistants; or2. A four year high school diploma or its educational Equivalent, Including or supplemented by a course of study consisting of at least 300 instructional hours at an approved school for denatl assistants plus six months full- time satisfactory experience as a denatal assistant performing all of the following duties: taking, developing, and mounting dental radiographs, assisting dentist at chairside, sterilizing instrument using autoclave; or3. A four year  plus one year of full time satisfactory experience as a denatal assistant performing all of the duties describes in 2 above; or4. A satisfactory combination of education and expererince which is equivalent 1,2,or 3 above. However, All candidates must have at least a four year high school diploma or its educational Equivalent.Experience as a receptionist or desk in a dentist's office is not acceptable towards meeting the qualification requirements.

Compensation: $31.00 per hour
