
HOURLY RANGE: $19.89 - $26.23
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS: The work involves assisting dentists in Providing care to patients. Under direct supervision, employees in the class assist a practicing dentist at their chair during examination and treatment of patients, including operative and surgical cases. The incumbent may also assist in performing routing dental laboratory work. Supervision is not a function of this position class. Does related work as required.
TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES:
FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS: Good knowledge of the practices, techniques and terminology of dental care; good knowledge of materials and instruments use by dentists in treatment of patients; working knowledge of x-ray procedures; working knowledge of practices, techniques and terminology of dental laboratory work; ability to maintain dental records; dependability; capable of performing the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
NOTE: Verifiable part-time and/or volunteer experience will be pro-rated toward meeting full-time experience requirements.
