Job Description

We're currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join our team on a permanent part-time basis, working 2-3 days per week.

The Role

As a Dental Assistant, you'll play an important role in supporting clinicians, creating a seamless patient experience, and helping ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the clinic.

Working closely with dentists and the wider clinical team, you'll assist across a variety of procedures while maintaining high standards of patient care, organisation, and infection control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting clinicians during a range of dental procedures
  • Preparing treatment rooms, instruments, and materials prior to treatment
  • Maintaining sterilisation and infection control standards
  • Providing high-quality patient care and support before, during, and after treatment
  • Managing accurate patient records and clinical documentation
  • Monitoring stock levels and assisting with inventory management
  • Educating patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
  • Supporting smooth patient flow and day-to-day clinical operations
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and professional clinical environment
  • Working collaboratively with the wider team to deliver an exceptional patient experience

About You

You're professional, team-oriented, and genuinely passionate about patient care. You enjoy working within a clinical environment and take pride in delivering high-quality support to both patients and clinicians.

You'll bring:

  • Previous experience as a Dental Assistant
  • Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of dental procedures and terminology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Confidence using dental software and maintaining patient records
  • A proactive and supportive approach within a team environment
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • A strong commitment to patient care and professionalism

Highly Regarded

  • Previous experience within implant or surgical dentistry
  • Experience taking dental radiographs
  • Knowledge of dental practice management software
