We are seeking a detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team. The Dental Assistant will work alongside the dental team to provide high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include preparing patients for dental procedures, assisting the dentist during treatments, and ensuring a clean and sterile environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a dental assistant program or on-the-job training.
- X-ray certification preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and sterilization methods.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations.
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment.
- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs.
- Take and develop dental x-rays.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and postoperative care.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Schedule patient appointments and process billing.
- Ensure compliance with infection control policies and procedures.
