We are seeking a Dental Assistant to join our dental office team. The Dental Assistant will assist in providing high-quality dental care to patients, ensure effective patient communication, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; certification or associate degree in Dental Assisting is a plus
- X-ray certification preferred
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with patients and staff
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection control procedures
Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
- Sterilize dental instruments and prepare instrument trays
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Provide patients with postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Schedule patient appointments
- Keep inventory of dental supplies and place orders when necessary
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations
