The purpose of the Dental Assistant - Receptionist role is to provide reception services at the front office of the Dental Practice, manage patient appointments, billing, payment receipts and records, while also supporting clinical care and assisting in patient education on dental health. Additionally, this role includes providing administrative support to the front office as needed, ensuring the delivery of patient care goals.

What you’ll need to make it possible

  • Ideally 3 months’ experience working as a Dental Assistant in Australia & willing to learn Reception
  • Provide chair-side assistance for dental professionals providing dental treatment including usage of suction, passing instruments and materials, mixing techniques, assist in x-rays procedures and knowledge of instrumentation.
  • Clean and prepare the treatment room, dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control standards and BDC procedures;
  • Follow defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services and workplace.
  • Is responsible for work performed with a medium level of accountability or discretion
  • Assist with the management of appointment schedules including booking, cancellation, rebooking and confirming appointments as required.
  • You're a motivated self-starter, this is a fast paced and dynamic role
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passionate about customer service and patient care
  • Organised with attention to detail
  • Ability to build rapport with patients, in a cheerful, light-hearted manner
