Job Description

Grand Peaks is seeking a dependable, caring Full Time Dental Assistant to join our team at our new clinic in Idaho Falls. We are looking for someone committed to providing high-quality, patient-focused care in a supportive and team-oriented environment where your contributions are valued.

This is a full-time position with opportunities for stability and growth. We offer comprehensive benefits including health insurance, a 401(k), paid time off, and paid holidays.

Clinic Schedule:

  • Monday – Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Thursday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Friday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
    (Four 10-hour shifts per week)

Compensation: Wage is DOE

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients and treatment rooms
  • Assist the dentist during exams and procedures
  • Take and process dental X-rays
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
  • Sterilize instruments and maintain supplies
  • Assist with front desk tasks and light housekeeping as needed

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent Required
  • 6+ months of dental assisting experience preferred
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
  • Friendly, reliable, and team-oriented
  • Must pass a background check

Grand Peaks is an FTCA deemed facility. Grand Peaks Medical and Dental Center’s began as a non-profit community health center in 2007 with one provider and a small staff. Over the last five years the organization has seen amazing growth. A dental clinic was added in 2010 and our medical facility now has three full-time providers, one registered nurse and four certified medical assistants. The Dental clinic has also grown since opening with two dentist, two hygienist and three dental assistants. It is the mission of this organization to provide quality preventative healthcare to all patients. We do this through programs that assist the insured and uninsured alike. Discounts are given to each patient based on income and family size to help with the high cost of quality care and payment plans provide another option to help as services are needed. We also offer an an onsite pharmacy and prescription assistance to help patients access medication. Our organization is also a site with certified In-Person-Assistors for the Idaho Health Insurance exchange who can help you navigate the insurance markets available to you.
