Job Description

The Hyde Park Center for Aesthetic Dentistry is now hiring a Dental Assistant in Tampa, Florida!

We are a boutique aesthetic and cosmetic dental practice located in the heart of Hyde Park, one of Tampa’s most desirable and walkable neighborhoods, surrounded by great restaurants and local shops. Our small but mighty team supports a single doctor in a calm, focused environment where exceptional, patient-first care is always the priority.

This role is ideal for a detail-driven, experienced Dental Assistant who takes pride in their work and is eager to be the doctor’s right hand, fully owning the clinical area and supporting all clinical needs with confidence and professionalism. You should be highly skilled, comfortable with treatment presentation, and able to work with autonomy while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

Dental Assistant Schedule:

Monday through Thursday 7:00am to 6:00pm with 60 minute lunch break

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Dentists chairside
  • Welcomes patients
  • Prepares patients for treatments or checkups ensuring comfort
  • Selection and setup of instrumentation, equipment and other dental materials as needed
  • Instrument sterilization according to regulations
  • Maintains accurate patient records
  • Lab tasks as instructed
  • Provide post-operative care instructions
  • Maintain clean and stocked operatories

Qualifications

  • Florida EFDA Certificate Required
  • 3 or more years of dental assisting clinical experience required, including experience with cosmetic dentistry
  • Experience with Xrays and making temporary crowns
  • Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
  • Understanding of health & safety regulations
  • Experience with digital software, preferrably Eaglesoft or Denticon
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
