Assist dentists and hygienists during chairside procedures in a general dental practice setting
Prepare treatment rooms by setting up instruments, materials, and equipment
Provide compassionate, clear communication and support to patients throughout their visit
Clean, sterilize, and maintain instruments, equipment, and clinical areas
Accurately document patient information and treatment notes in accordance with policy
Maintain inventory by ordering, stocking, and tracking supplies
Identify and communicate patient medical or social concerns to the dental team
Follow standards and guidelines set by the American Dental Association, Missouri Dental Board, and National Network of Oral Health Access
Perform other duties as needed to support smooth clinic operations
High school diploma preferred, but not required
Current CPR certification required
BLS certification required (may be obtained after hire)
Previous dental assisting experience preferred, but not required
Willingness to learn, strong communication skills, and ability to follow instructions accurately
Ability to support patients, maintain charts and reports, and complete all required training
Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, current auto insurance, and successful completion of all required background checks
Proof of being free from infectious or contagious diseases (e.g., TB) prior to hire and annually thereafter
Ability to perform sedentary work, including exerting up to 10 pounds occasionally
Frequent repetitive use of hands, fingers, and arms for assisting and documentation
Ability to sit for extended periods, with occasional standing and walking as needed
