At 1300SMILES Bundaberg Burnett Dental Centre, we’re looking for a Casual Dental Assistant to join our team and support the delivery of quality dental care to our local community.

Located in central Bundaberg on Barolin Street, Burnett Dental Centre is an established practice with an experienced dental team. You’ll work in a busy and varied clinical environment, gaining valuable hands-on experience across a range of treatments while helping patients feel comfortable and well cared for throughout their visit.

As a Dental Assistant, you’ll play an important role in supporting our clinicians and helping the practice run smoothly throughout the day.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting dentists and clinicians across a range of procedures
• Providing chairside assistance and anticipating the needs of the clinician
• Preparing treatment rooms, instruments and equipment
• Welcoming patients and helping them feel comfortable throughout their appointment
• Maintaining clean, organised and well-prepared clinical areas
• Sterilising instruments and following infection control procedures
• Working collaboratively with the wider team to deliver a positive patient experience

Qualifications

Ideally, you’ll bring:

• Previous Dental Assisting experience and/or a Certificate III or above in Dental Assisting is highly regarded, but not essential
• A friendly, confident and approachable manner
• Strong communication and organisation skills
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Reliability and a strong work ethic
• The ability to work well as part of a team
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow processes
