
The Process Engineering Specialist is responsible for project management for support of various processes ranging from small engineering changes to full new line installation. Must also have ability to solve problem and work with Production to improve quality and productivity. The Production Engineer will lead process development working with other Engineers and Product Design through design for manufacturing activity. Once the process is in Mass Production the responsible Engineer will work to refine and improve the efficiency and quality of the line.

Basic Responsibilities:
New product planning, Introduction, trials preparation and documentation
Production capacity studies, line layouts, cycle time studies, processing cost studies
New equipment specification development, installation and training
New equipment budgetary planning, quotation, procurement, and project management
Production lines support and improvement activities
Manufacturing manual process automation (vision guided robotics and others)
Process improvement, machine optimization, and automation feasibility
Product and Process root cause analysis, investigation and countermeasure development
Create and Maintain process documentation (PFMEA, PCS, Process Flows, policies, etc.) in support of IATF certifications
Other responsibilities as required
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or Higher in Engineering or related degree.
A combination of education and experience can be considered.
Hands-on technical/Engineering manufacturing experience.
3-5 years of related experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in MS Office applications
Strong working knowledge in AutoCAD
Ability to read and understand product drawings.
Ability to work effectively with a multi-disciplined cross-functional team: Strong Teamwork Skills
Skilled at setting priorities and completing tasks: able to accept and take direction
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
Willingness to work periodic overtime, as required: typically at new line spec and install times
Possess and demonstrate excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills: welcome different ideas and viewpoints
Demonstrate initiative by investigating outside own areas for given tasks and by helping others: Team Player

Strong machine experience: process improvement, machine design and Kaizen
PLC knowledge: Omron
Experience with 3D CAD
Programming experience
