SA Recycling – South Texas Region, is currently looking for an Offsite Demolition lead man to join our Values based organization. This position will be based in our Brownsville, TX facility.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead the crew by assigning and coordinating daily work activities.
  • Support the Foreman/Supervisor in managing workflow, schedules, and productivity.
  • Work alongside the crew and perform the same job duties as needed.
  • Identify and resolve routine job-site issues; escalate major concerns promptly.
  • Ensure all employees follow company policies, safety procedures, and wear required PPE.
  • Monitor work quality and ensure tasks are completed correctly and on schedule.
  • Train, mentor, and assist new and existing employees.
  • Promote teamwork, professionalism, and accountability.
  • Report safety hazards, equipment issues, injuries, and incidents immediately.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Requirements

  • Must pass a medical physical and drug test
  • Must pass a background check and credit check
  • Preferred – high school diploma or GED and/or foreign education acceptable
  • Bi-lingual (English & Spanish) language skills a plus
  • Ability to: communicate with others effectively; understand direction (written or oral) and use basic math skills as the job demands
  • An understanding of the metal market well enough to negotiate pricing, delivery process, and production demands
  • Possess interpersonal skills to gain support of workforce and clientele when conducting business

Comply with all applicable federal, state, local, & SA Recycling safety, health, & environmental rules, regulations, policies, & procedures.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years minimum experience in Supervising others
  • Experience in Demolition including the use of tools and equipment

Physical Requirements

• Work Environment: Office and Scrap metal yard
• Equipment & Tools: Office equipment, general tools, and training with mobile equipment
• Physical Demand Level: Light to Moderate,
• Work Capacity: Lifting & carrying 35lb loads, head turning, bending.
• Sensory Demands: Hearing, vision, smell, touch and taste
• Hand Movements: Repetitive motions, typing
