Demi Chef (Season 2026)

At Santa Marina, a Luxury Collection Resort, Mykonos, every guest experience is thoughtfully curated, and every team member plays a key role in creating unforgettable stays. As a Demi Chef, you will bring your passion for culinary excellence to the heart of our kitchens, crafting each dish with precision, creativity, and care, and ensuring every plate reflects the impeccable quality, attention to detail, and standards that defines the Luxury Collection dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients such as vegetables, meats, and sauces, and cook dishes, components, or elements for your section, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation
  • Maintain and organize your workstation, keeping it clean, fully stocked, and ready for service throughout the shift
  • Follow recipes, plating guidelines, and strict health, safety, and hygiene standards (HACCP) to deliver exceptional culinary output
  • Monitor ingredient levels, manage stock rotation, and minimize food wastage while maintaining efficiency
  • Support the Chef de Partie and assist in mentoring junior chefs, collaborating with colleagues to ensure smooth, high-quality service
  • Participate in kitchen setup and breakdown, receive and store deliveries, and assist with general kitchen duties as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness and order of equipment, workstations, and storage areas, ensuring a safe, organized, and efficient kitchen environment

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Demi Chef in a luxury hotel or fine dining establishment, with proven experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Formal qualification in Culinary Arts from a recognized institute or vocational school certificate.
  • Passion for culinary excellence and delivering exceptional dishes
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to quality and consistency
  • Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic, high-performing team
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and a proactive willingness to learn and develop skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety standards (HACCP awareness preferred)
