At Crowne Plaza New Delhi Mayur Vihar – An IHG® Hotel, we are looking for a talented and passionate Demi Chef de Partie – South Indian to join our culinary team.

A little taste of your day-to-day:

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

• Preparing and presenting authentic South Indian dishes while maintaining consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.
• Assisting the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in managing daily kitchen operations and food preparation.
• Preparing a variety of South Indian specialities, including dosas, idlis, vadas, uttapams, sambhar, rasam, chutneys, and regional delicacies.
• Ensuring all dishes are prepared according to standard recipes and hotel quality standards.
• Maintaining food hygiene, sanitation, and food safety practices in compliance with hotel policies.
• Monitoring ingredient quality, portion control, and food wastage to support effective kitchen cost management.
• Ensuring proper storage, labelling, and rotation of food items according to FIFO procedures.
• Coordinating with other kitchen team members to ensure timely preparation and smooth service during busy periods.
• Supporting the training and development of junior kitchen colleagues and maintaining a clean, organised workstation.

What We Need from You:

• A relevant qualification in Culinary Arts, Hotel Management, or a related field.
• Previous experience in a professional kitchen, preferably specialising in South Indian cuisine.
• Good knowledge of authentic South Indian ingredients, cooking techniques, traditional recipes, and regional specialities.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene standards, portion control, and kitchen cost management.
• The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
• A passion for culinary innovation, consistency, and delivering excellent food quality.
