Demi Chef de Partie

We are seeking an experienced Demi Chef de Partie to join our team. Your main responsibility is to ensure that the food we deliver to our members it of the highest quality. This includes preparing food before service, setting up and stocking kitchen stations and plating to company standards

The role..

Responsibilities

• Well-versed on all menu items and able to produce consistent and quality dishes in fast-paced and demanding environments and on all stations
• Daily responsibilities also include preparing food items in the pantry, fry station, and other kitchen areas while adhering to allergy requests and specific dish alterations
• Knowledge and full awareness of all the menus and help senior chef in developing new menus
• Sets up stations according to Kitchen guidelines, and maintains a safe, clean, organized, and stocked work area.
• Watch wastage, cooking temps and quality to reduce additional costs
• Work towards specific goals and Soho House Standards for speed of service goals and consistent experience for Soho House Standards for service
• Responsible for guiding and supervising the commis chefs
• Positive influence for the team under pressure and provide a welcoming work environment that increases staff morale.
• Attend Cookhouse trainings and support the education of new and existing team members
• Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen.
• Be committed to providing quality service and food knowledge

What we are looking for…

• Previous experience in similar role in hospitality is essential
• Proven ability to execute all menu items and properly prepare and deliver top quality dishes on all stations
• Flexible schedule and ability to work morning, night, weekend and holiday’s (as needed)
• Strong communicator, collaborator and motivator with ability to build professional relationships with all leaders and kitchen team
• You are flexible to work on weekends, evenings and holidays
• Ability to multitask and work in a demanding, fast-paced environment
• Reliable, representative, positive and enthusiastic
