Job Description

Job Purpose and Impact

The Demand Supply Planning Lead, SEA is responsible for leading the end-to-end demand, supply, capacity, and inventory planning processes across a defined product portfolio. This role ensures alignment between customer demand, production capabilities, and supply network constraints to deliver optimal service, cost, and working capital outcomes.

The role drives robust, data-driven planning through the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process, partnering closely with commercial, manufacturing, procurement, logistics, commercial operations and finance teams to enable effective decision-making in a dynamic business environment.

Key Accountabilities

Demand Planning

  • Lead the development of demand forecast using statistical models, historical data and commercial inputs.
  • Integrate market intelligence, promotions and new product instroductions into demand plans.
  • Drive continuous improvement in forecast accuracy and bias.
  • Ensure proper governance of demand planning processes, assumptions and data integrity.

Supply Review & S&OE Execution

  • Translate demand plans into feasible supply plans considering production, procurement, capacity and logistics constraints.
  • Lead short-term execution through S&OE (Sales & Operations Execution), ensuring order fulfilment and service levels. Drive mid to long term Supply Review.
  • Identify supply risks and drive mitigation actions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure alignment between supply plans and customer commitments.

Capacity Planning

  • Develop mid-to long-term capacity plans aligned with demand projections and growth targets.
  • Identify capacity constraints (production, labor, supplier, logistics) and define mitigation strategies.
  • Drive scenario planning (e.g. alternate sourcing, outsourcing, network reallocation) .
  • Support capital planning decisions through demand-driven capacity insights.

Inventory Planning & Working Capital Management

  • Define and maintain inventory policies (safety stock, reorder points, service level targets).
  • Optimize inventory across the network to balance service, cost and working capital.
  • Monitor inventory health (excess, obsolete, slow-moving) and drive corrective action.
  • Lead inventory segmentation (e.g ABC/XYZ) to differentiate planning strategies.
  • Drive initiatives to improve inventory turns and working capital performance.

Integrated Business Planning (IBP)

  • Lead Demand Review and Supply Review cycles within IBP.
  • Drive transparency on gaps, risks, and opportunities with clear scenario analysis.
  • Facilitate decision-making on trade-offs (service vs cost vs inventory).
  • Align demand and supply plans with financial targets in partnership with Finance.

Performance Management & Governance

  • Define, track, and improve key planning KPIs (forecast accuracy, bias, on time in full, inventory turns, freshness, production attainment, capacity utilization).
  • Ensure planning processes are standardized, documented, and followed across the team.
  • Provide regular performance reporting and insights to stakeholders.

Data & System Management

  • Ensure accuracy and governance of master data (product hierarchy, lead times, BOM, planning parameters).
  • Oversee demand and supply planning inputs, including demand sensing and forecast models.
  • Drive effective use of planning systems (e.g. SAP IBP/ SAP or equivalent tools).

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner with commercial teams to capture demand signals and ensure alignment.
  • Work closely with manufacturing, procurement and logistics to suner supply feasibility.
  • Lead cross-functional alignment discussions on key trade-offs and priorities.

Continuous Improvement & Transformation

  • Identify process gaps and drive standardization and optimization initiatives.
  • Lead adoption of digital tools, advanced analytics, and AI-based forecasting capabilities.
  • Support broader supply chain transformation initiatives across the region.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Mathematics, Business, Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in demand, supply or integrated planning.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration experience.

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with integrated planning tools (e.g. SAP IBP, S4/HANA or equivalent).
  • Experience in FMCG, Food, or Manufacturing industry
  • Prior experience managing or mentoring a team
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capability (usage of Power BI for reporting & analysis)
  • Experience in IBP/S&OP/S&OE processes
