As a Zimmer Biomet team member, you will share in our commitment to providing mobility and renewed life to people around the world. To support our talent team, we focus on development opportunities, robust employee resource groups (ERGs), a flexible working environment, location specific competitive total rewards, wellness incentives and a culture of recognition and performance awards. We are committed to creating an environment where every team member feels included, respected, empowered and recognised.

What You Can Expect

This role is responsible for leading the Brazil direct-operation demand and supply planning processes, including demand forecasting, S&OP/IBP coordination, supply planning, inventory management and Excess & Obsolescence (E&O) control.

The position will consolidate demand signals from Commercial, Marketing, Customer Service, Operations and Finance, translating them into a reliable forecast and an executable supply plan. The role will also manage purchase planning, open-order visibility, critical-item follow-up, inventory coverage, backorder risks and E&O action plans.

This position will lead the Brazil S&OP/IBP cadence and act as a key interface between local functions, LATAM Demand Planning, Manufacturing, GCO, Operations Finance and the Import/Trade team.

The role will not execute importation, customs clearance or transportation activities. However, it will incorporate import lead times, supply constraints, regulatory risks and expected availability into the supply plan and will work closely with the Import/Trade team to mitigate supply risks.

The position will focus on improving forecast quality, product availability, inventory health and cross-functional planning discipline for the Brazil direct operation.

How You'll Create Impact

Demand Planning and S&OP / IBP

  • Lead the Brazil direct-operation demand planning and S&OP/IBP routines.
  • Consolidate demand inputs from Commercial, Marketing, Customer Service, Operations and Finance.
  • Develop and maintain a consensus forecast, incorporating historical consumption, customer pipeline, scheduled procedures, portfolio changes and supply constraints.
  • Facilitate demand and supply reviews, document decisions and provide timely inputs to the LATAM planning cycle.

Supply Planning and Purchase Planning

  • Translate the approved demand plan into purchase and replenishment requirements.
  • Consider inventory, open orders, in-transit supply, lead times, safety stock, order multiples and supply constraints.
  • Coordinate purchase-order planning and follow up on allocation, backorders, recovery dates and expected availability with Manufacturing and GCO.
  • Challenge purchase recommendations that are inconsistent with demand, inventory health or service priorities.

Inventory Planning and E&O Management

  • Monitor inventory coverage, days/months on hand, excess, obsolescence, slow-moving items and inventory at risk.
  • Lead the Brazil direct-operation E&O/IANO action plan in partnership with Operations Finance.
  • Recommend actions to consume, sell, rebalance, return, rationalize or scrap inventory.
  • Evaluate the operational and financial impact of inventory actions before execution.

Critical Items and Service Risk

  • Establish and maintain a governance process for critical items and service risks.
  • Monitor inventory, open supply, backorders, allocations, recovery dates and potential customer impact.
  • Coordinate mitigation actions with Operations, Customer Service, Commercial, Import/Trade, Manufacturing and GCO.
  • Escalate supply risks that may affect procedures, service, revenue or inventory targets.

What Makes You Stand Out

Portfolio and Product Lifecycle Planning

  • Partner with Marketing, Commercial and Product Management on launches, phase-ins, phase-outs and portfolio transitions.
  • Assess the impact of portfolio decisions on demand, inventory, instrumental, lead times and supply requirements.
  • Challenge purchases of discontinued, rationalized or sell-to-depletion products when not supported by a clear business need.
  • Incorporate new-product adoption, regulatory availability and initial stocking requirements into the forecast and supply plan.

Import, Trade and Manufacturing Interface

  • Incorporate import lead times, regulatory constraints, shipment risks and expected release timing into the supply plan.
  • Provide Import/Trade with prioritized and forward-looking supply requirements.
  • Support decisions on order frequency and shipment sizing to balance service, inventory and customs risk.
  • Work with Manufacturing, GCO and Import/Trade to resolve availability and delivery risks.

Scope boundary: This position does not execute customs clearance, freight booking, import documentation or transportation activities.

Planning Data and Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain key planning parameters, including safety stock, lead times, order multiples, ABC classification and product status.
  • Use ERP, planning systems, Power BI, LATAM reports, open-order reports and inventory/E&O data to support decisions.
  • Develop and maintain clear planning reports and dashboards, reducing reliance on disconnected manual spreadsheets.
  • Monitor key performance indicators, including forecast accuracy, forecast bias, service level, critical-item availability, E&O and emergency purchase frequency.

Your Background
