Sensata Technologies is looking for a demand planning specialist who will be responsible for the development and assessment of demand forecasts on designated product / program categories. In this position you will work with multiple internal departments as well as external vendors on countless analyses to determine the needed products and quantities for certain products / programs.
General Responsibilities
• Leads in the creation of future capacity plans
• Handles any communication with marketing, manufacturing and customer service to ensure accuracy and efficiency of message
• Leads in defining an integrated supply chain to produce sustained, timely performance on all accounts
• Leads in the measuring and monitoring of specific product / program categories
• Leads in creating a demand plan that will be used throughout the company in regards to supply planning
• Leads in in-depth analysis with large amounts of data to run various statistics and analyses on the company to help future predictability of demand planning
Experience / Qualifications
• A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
• Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
• Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
• Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
• Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
KeyAccountabilities:
Work with ERP transition teams to ensure data andprocessreadinesswhile providing directions for demand planning improvements.
Support the establishment of afinancial forecastreconciliationprocesswithcommercial finance andBUteam.
Establishstandardmechanism of importing customerinputsusingexternal data such asmarket research,vehicle builds,economicenvironment, customerspecificinputsandcustomerportals.
Establish standard mechanism ofusinginternalinputsfor demand planningsuch as order fill, EDIs, new businessopportunities,product life cycleattributes,salespersoninputsandcontractual agreements.
Establish playbook and assessment for Demand planning solution Demantra and home-grown systems)
Lead demand planning and IT team to developroadmap for newsoftwareintegrating demand and supply.
Establish report out and accuracy forInternal and externaldemand planning inputsto developexception-basedactionsandsupport Monthlycadenceatdifferent levelsoforganization
Report monthly data on KPIs (Forecast accuracy, On Time Delivery, new business launch conversion rates, segmentation) and drive opportunities for improvementlist shared with the SIOP GPO team.
Useexpertisein data visualization and tools (Oracle analytics Cloud/OAC, Oracle Business Intelligence / OBIEEand others)toestablishdashboardsand trackers for SIOP metricsfocusedon demand planning.
Automate analytic techniques to interpret data,identifyissues, analyze causes, datavisualizationand provideautomated-Botsolutions.
Work closely withthe team ofGPOs tounderstand overallSIOPobjectives andrepresent the interests ofDemandplanningthoughdifferentlevelsoftheorganization.
WorkcloselywithSIOP teams globallyondevelopment and execution of SIOPimprovement projects
Work asaSME anddesigntrainingfor the broaderdemandplanningteamas well asalso solutionleadforenhancingtools
Leadmonthlydemand planning councilmeetingsrepresentingwithfocusonkey accomplishments, challenges, improvement initiatives, tool changes, highlights within the field of Demand planning and others.
DriveSIOP team members in developing orimplementinggeneral SIOP project improvements
DriveSIOPteaminimproving the execution and/or design of the SIOP Reviewsas per the monthly SIOP cadence
ActivelyparticipateinBUDemandReviews,SiteSupply Reviews, or SIOP meetings
Ensure system parameters are set to support forecast accuracy targets.
