Your Role:

We are seeking a Demand Planning Manager to lead demand planning and forecasting activities across multiple business units throughout the United States and Canada. This role serves as a critical link between Commercial, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, Customer Care, and Information Technology to ensure accurate demand forecasts, improve service performance, optimize inventory investments, and support profitable growth.

Beyond traditional forecasting responsibilities, this position plays a key role in transforming how the business plans and makes decisions. The Demand Planning Manager will lead process improvement initiatives, support digital transformation efforts, implement planning technologies, and drive the adoption of advanced analytics and AI-enabled solutions. What you'll be doing:

  • Lead the monthly demand planning and forecasting process across multiple business units in the United States and Canada
  • Develop and maintain short-, medium-, and long-term demand forecasts aligned with commercial objectives and operational requirements
  • Analyze demand trends, customer behavior, market conditions, product lifecycle changes, and promotional activity to improve forecast accuracy
  • Partner with Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to develop consensus-based demand plans
  • Monitor forecast performance, identify root causes of forecast variance, and implement corrective actions to improve planning effectiveness
  • Assess current demand planning processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, accuracy, and business performance
  • Design and implement enhanced planning processes, workflows, governance models, and reporting capabilities
  • Drive process standardization, simplification, and continuous improvement initiatives across multiple business units
  • Lead cross-functional projects from opportunity identification through implementation and value realization
  • Develop business requirements, project plans, timelines, risk assessments, governance routines, and performance measures
  • Coordinate stakeholders and project activities across Commercial, Supply Chain, Operations, IT, Finance, and Customer Care teams
  • Support strategic initiatives including product launches, business expansions, network optimization, and organizational transformation efforts
  • Partner with Information Technology teams to implement and optimize demand planning, forecasting, and supply chain systems
  • Define business requirements and support system testing, deployment, adoption, and continuous improvement activities
  • Develop dashboards, reporting tools, and decision-support capabilities that improve visibility and planning performance
  • Identify opportunities to leverage artificial intelligence, predictive analytics, machine learning, and automation to improve planning accuracy and efficiency
  • Utilize advanced analytics to identify demand drivers, risks, opportunities, and actionable business insights
  • Measure and monitor the effectiveness of planning tools, digital solutions, and process improvements
  • Facilitate demand reviews, planning meetings, and executive presentations
  • Communicate assumptions, risks, opportunities, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders at all organizational levels
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships and influence business decisions through data-driven insights and collaboration

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, Analytics, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in Demand Planning, Supply Chain Planning, Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), Business Analytics, or related disciplines
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional projects, business transformation initiatives, and organizational change efforts
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to convert complex data into actionable business recommendations
  • Experience improving business processes and implementing sustainable governance and performance measurement frameworks
  • Strong project management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and drive alignment across cross-functional teams and leadership groups
  • Strong business acumen and a continuous improvement mindset

Nice to have:

  • Experience managing demand planning activities across multiple business units, product categories, or geographic regions
  • Experience implementing ERP, Advanced Planning Systems (APS), Integrated Business Planning (IBP), forecasting, or analytics platforms
  • Knowledge of artificial intelligence, machine learning, predictive analytics, and planning automation technologies
  • APICS/ASCM CPIM, CSCP, PMP, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, or similar professional certification
  • Experience with SAP IBP, SAP APO, Kinaxis, Oracle, Anaplan, Power BI, Tableau, or comparable planning and analytics tools
  • Experience supporting North American operations within manufacturing, healthcare, medical device, consumer products, or industrial organizations
  • Experience leading digital transformation and supply chain modernization initiatives

At Vantive, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is 116,000 - 145,000 USD annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
