Job Description

The Manager, Demand Planning is a critical leadership role responsible for developing accurate, forward‑looking demand forecasts that guide strategic decision‑making across the business. This leader will own the consensus demand planning process, integrating customer forecasts, market intelligence, funnel insights, and New Product Introduction (NPI) assumptions to produce a clear, data‑driven view of future unconstrained demand

The role requires strong analytical capability, deep understanding of market and customer dynamics, and the ability to drive alignment across Business Units (BU), Sales, Product, and Supply Chain Management (SCM). This position is a key input to the S&OP process, enabling informed supply responses and CAPEX decisions.

Demand Forecasting & Modeling

  • Own the end‑to‑end demand forecasting process for assigned markets, incorporating customer forecasts, market drivers, statistical models, funnel data, and NPI assumptions.
  • Build and maintain robust forecasting models that provide a clear view of future unconstrained demand.
  • Continuously refine forecasting methodologies to improve accuracy, responsiveness, and transparency.
  • Integrate external market indicators and customer‑specific insights to enhance forecast quality.

Consensus Demand Planning

  • Lead the cross‑functional consensus process, aligning customer forecasts, statistical forecasts, market outlooks, and funnel inputs into a unified demand signal.
  • Facilitate alignment with Business Units on unconstrained demand assumptions, ensuring clarity on drivers, risks, and opportunities.
  • Partner with SCM to translate unconstrained demand into a constrained supply response.
  • Ensure demand signals are delivered on time and in the format required for S&OP and executive review.

Risk & Opportunity Management

  • Identify, quantify, and articulate key risk vectors that may impact the ability to realize the forecast.
  • Track mitigation actions, dependencies, and completion status across stakeholders.
  • Incorporate risk‑adjusted perspectives into the demand signal to support more informed planning and investment decisions.
  • Provide scenario analyses that highlight upside, downside, and most‑likely demand outcomes.

Cross‑Functional Leadership

  • Serve as the primary demand planning partner to Business Units, Sales, Product, and SCM.
  • Translate complex forecasting insights into clear narratives for executive audiences.
  • Ensure alignment between market trends, customer expectations, and internal planning assumptions.
  • Support S&OP as a key input owner, ensuring demand signals are accurate, timely, and actionable.

Strategic Deliverables

  • Monthly and quarterly consensus demand forecasts
  • Risk‑adjusted demand scenarios and risk vector tracking
  • Funnel‑to‑forecast integration models
  • NPI demand assumptions and ramp‑rate models
  • Executive‑ready demand insights for S&OP and CAPEX planning
  • At least 5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, supply chain planning, or related analytical roles
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics, customer forecasting, and product lifecycle planning
  • Proven ability to lead cross‑functional consensus processes
  • Advanced analytical skills, including forecasting methodologies, scenario modeling, and data interpretation
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Experience in high‑complexity, high‑mix, or technology‑driven industries preferred
  • Proficiency with demand planning tools, statistical forecasting platforms, and data visualization tools
