A visionary and analytical leader to empower and guide the US Demand Planning team to excellence by fostering a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging advanced statistical algorithms and digital tools for shared success. The focus will be on developing the team's skills, driving forecast accuracy, and ensuring supply chain alignment to support business growth and profitability. This leader will also excel at building consensus and strong relationships across various business functions, creating a collaborative environment that enhances cross-functional alignment and drives overall organizational success.
How you will make an impact:
Develop and implement a strategic demand planning vision that aligns with the company's overall business objectives
Lead and develop a high-performing demand planning team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement to streamline processes and enhance forecasting accuracy
Embrace a servant leadership approach, supporting and empowering team members to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
Champion data-driven decision-making while fostering a culture of continuous learning
Oversee the development and implementation of best-in-class forecasting methodologies and tools to achieve superior forecast accuracy
Utilize statistical modeling and demand forecasting techniques to analyze historical data and current market trends
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations teams to gather input and develop accurate demand forecasts.
Develop and present key demand planning metrics and insights to leadership, providing strategic recommendations while ensuring clear and transparent communication with your team
Monitor and analyze forecast accuracy and make adjustments as needed to minimize forecast error and optimize inventory levels.
Champion for the technology solutions to drive innovative ideas and outcomes by being a constant learner.
Collaborate with data science and Gordon Technology Services teams to enhance demand planning capabilities
Manages and develops personnel (recruitment, interviewing, hiring, terminations, performance reviews, professional development)
Manages to the AOP budgets.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What you'll bring to the table:
Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or Marketing is required.
Master Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or Marketing is preferred.
7 or more years of business experience and a minimum of 5 years in Demand Planning and/or data science or data analytics. Experience in foodservice distribution or Supply Chain is preferred. Progressive leadership experience is desired, preferably including prior experience in managing by influence across multiple teams and groups.
Advanced Supply Chain Management Software: Expertise in enterprise-level systems like SAP, o9 Solutions or JDA Software.
Business Intelligence and Analytics Tools: Proficiency in platforms such as Microstrategy or Google Platforms for data visualization and analysis.
Advanced Excel and Data Analysis: Strong skills in spreadsheet modeling, pivot tables, and data manipulation.
Collaboration and Communication Platforms: Google, Zoom, etc.
