Responsibilities

The Demand Planner will be responsible for:

  • Demand forecasting in SAP IBP and owning total forecast for assigned Customer Team(s)
  • Maintaining relationships with collaborative partners to gather intelligence and improve forecast accuracy for UPCs at assigned Customer Teams
  • Own and execute demand forecasting in SAP IBP for UPCs at assigned Customer Team(s)
  • Own & monitor Demand Planning forecast accuracy and bias measures (individual targets) for UPCs at assigned Customer teams, including relevant reporting
  • Assist BU Demand Planning Team Lead in meeting the demand forecasting and demand reporting needs of the overall Business Unit and associated supply chain
  • Collaborate and maintain close relationships day to day with key contacts in Sales Finance to gather intelligence relative to Sales activities for UPCs at assigned Customer Teams (Trade Promotions, Calendar Events)
  • As appropriate for assigned Customer Team(s), collaborate and maintain close relationships with key contacts in Sales (Account Executive, National Account Manager, Key Account Manager) to gather intelligence relative to Sales activities (Trade Promotions, Calendar Events)
  • Coordinate with BU Team Lead to maintain direct relationships as appropriate with Business Unit contacts to stay current on BU financial plans, product and Customer Team sales strategies, activities and events affecting product demand

  • Coordinate with New Product Introduction Teams to manage forecasts for new and discontinued products impacting assigned Customer Teams
  • Own preparations, conduct/facilitation, and follow ups for Customer Team Level Cross-Functional Review(s) for UPCs at assigned Customer Teams (bottom-up each period)
  • Assist BU Demand Planning Team Lead as needed with preparation and follow ups for BU Level Cross Functional Review (“top-down” each period)
  • As appropriate, act as a point of contact for Operations personnel at the demand point to disseminate/clarify information relative to the forecast and/or receive relevant information coming in from the field
  • Use experience, analysis, reports and gathered intelligence to review history, evaluate the impact of future business and sales activities on demand and take appropriate actions to adjust forecasts (baseline, lift)
  • Support Continuous Improvement role(s) / activities in assigned area of focus
  • Manage all elements of demand forecasting for UPCs at assigned Customer Team (Internal Alerts, Product Lifecycle, Sales Realignment Verification in APO, Display Pallet/Shipper Demand, Customized Product, Maintenance of Demand Planner Controlled Data in APO, Forecast Accuracy Reporting
  • Provide functional assistance to other planners

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $80,700 - $135,100.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 5% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of Supply Chain experience, with Planning/Mfg/Logistics/Customer Service experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Supply Chain discipline
  • Strong collaboration and influence skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Continuous improvement orientation and strong analytical skills
