Demand Planner/ Key user
We are seeking a highly analytical and systems-oriented professional to join our team. The role will act as a Key User and a critical bridge between Demand Planning, IT, and Master Data teams to drive forecasting excellence, SAP IBP optimization, process governance, and data integrity across the organization for demand planning.
The successful candidate will lead and support statistical forecasting processes, SAP IBP planning operations, copy operator management, master data coordination, planning automation initiatives, and continuous improvement programs to enhance forecast accuracy, planning efficiency, and business decision-making.
This role combines functional planning expertise and responsibilities, SAP IBP technical understanding, data governance, and stakeholder coordination capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Key User for Demand SAP IBP - Statistical Forecasting & Demand Analytics. Own and maintain statistical forecasting models within SAP IBP.
• Deep understanding of performance KPIs such as Forecast Accuracy, Bias, MAPE, and Forecast Value Add (FVA) to ensure system reporting is in good place.
• Analyze demand patterns, seasonality, outliers, and product lifecycle trends. Run the weekly PLM analysis for EU region to provide the building block for regional demand planners to review.
• Drive continuous improvement of forecasting algorithms and parameter settings.
• Partner with commercial and demand planning teams to improve baseline forecast quality.
• Support demand sensing and advanced analytics initiatives where applicable.
• Own a part of portfolio for short term demand planning.
Key User & Process Ownership - Demand SAP IBP planning operations:
• Act as the SAP IBP Demand Planning Key User and subject matter expert for the planning community. Serve as the primary point of contact between Demand Planning, IT, SAP support teams, and external implementation partners.
• Provide first-line support for demand planners with SAP IBP planning issues, data discrepancies, planning operator failures, and user queries.
• Own demand planning process governance and ensure adherence to global planning standards. Escalate and coordinate resolution of critical planning system issues to minimize business disruption.
• Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression testing, and validation of SAP IBP enhancements, releases, and system changes.
• Maintain training materials, develop SOPs, user guides, and process documentation. Support end-user training and onboarding sessions on SAP IBP processes and tools for planners and business users.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to statistical forecasting, planning automation, and system optimization.
Qualifications and Skills requirement:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, statistics, computer science, or a related discipline.
3+ Years proven experience as a Data Analyst or Data Scientist with a focus on Demand Planning, Supply Chain Planning, with SAP IBP/S&OP environments.
Expertise in advanced Microsoft Excel with VBA, SAP IBP demand module and data analytics.
Experience with BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, SAC, etc.) and proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and R is desirable.
Knowledge of SAP ERP / S4HANA integration is advantageous.
Experience acting as an SAP IBP Key User, Super User, or Process Owner.
Experience supporting UAT, change management, and end-user training programs.
Understanding of planning process governance, controls, and system release management.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
