Job Description

As Senior Consultant, Global Process Improvement Demand Planning, you will lead the development and continuous enhancement of global demand planning processes, metrics, systems and organizational capabilities through system optimization, analytical support and process improvement.

This is not a behind-the-scenes role. You will serve as the key point of contact for demand planning process and system support, collaborating with and influencing Sr. leaders, regional and BU demand planning leaders and planning teams, DTS, and external vendors across multiple business units and countries. Additionally, you will act as the center of excellence for system optimization, driving best practices, training, and performance improvements worldwide in demand planning execution – you’ll revolutionize and elevate performance.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive system optimization: Serve as the subject matter expert and thought leadership on volume and trade modeling, ensuring alignment with business unit, supply chain, and customer requirements.
  • Establish key performance indicators: Develop and communicate KPIs for modeling and related tools, driving improvements in demand forecasting accuracy.
  • Optimize statistical forecasting models: Lead the implementation and enhancement of advanced predictive planning and trade promotion management systems in collaboration with vendors.
  • Training and support: Conduct field support to validate system usage, provide master-level training, and continuously improve demand planning processes.
  • Industry leadership: Stay ahead of market trends, new technologies, and best practices, leveraging insights to enhance demand planning capabilities.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Partner and challenge Sr. Leaders, demand planning teams, sales planning, field teams, and DTS to improve communication, drive process efficiencies, and strengthen alignment through data and influencing.
  • Foster innovation: Identify and implement new strategies that enhance system performance and forecast accuracy.
  • Build trusted relationships: Communicate effectively across all levels of leadership, ensuring clarity, transparency, and collaboration.
  • Lead with collaboration: Be the glue connecting demand planning, sales, field teams, DTS, and external vendors to ensure smooth integration and enhanced forecasting.
  • Turn data into strategy: Develop key performance indicators that transform raw numbers into actionable insights for smarter demand planning.
  • Shape the future of forecasting: Work with vendors to implement and refine cutting-edge statistical forecasting models that drive predictive planning and trade promotion management.
  • Empower teams globally: Train, support, and mentor demand planning professionals, ensuring they leverage tools and processes to their full potential.
  • Champion innovation: Stay ahead of industry trends, identifying fresh strategies and technologies to improve system optimization and forecasting accuracy.
  • Influence with impact: Communicate with clarity and confidence, ensuring senior leadership and stakeholders align with demand planning objectives.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, economics, statistics, engineering, computer software, or a related field.
  • Experience: 10+ years of proven success in demand planning and demand sensing, with expertise in commercially available systems.

OR

  • Master’s degree with 7-10 years of relevant experience
  • Technical Expertise: Implementing state of the art technology, strong knowledge of statistical modeling, system optimization, and troubleshooting within demand planning platforms.
  • Process Leadership: Experience deploying large-scale demand planning processes, state of the art systems, or tools. High tolerance to ambiguity and ability make progress when situations are in flux.
  • Analytical & Math Skills: Ability to apply complex mathematical and statistical techniques to improve forecasting accuracy.
  • Cross-functional Influence: Expertise in marketplace analytics, customer issue resolution, and stakeholder engagement at all levels of the organization.
  • Collaboration & Leadership: A knack for leading cross-functional teams, influencing stakeholders, and driving collective success.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Proactive problem-solver with a strategic mindset, exceptional communication skills, and a collaborative approach.
  • Influential Excellence: Exceptional ability to engage, persuade, and align teams across all levels of the organization.
