Summary:
The DeLUXE K!ds In Harmony Site Manager plays an integral role within the Houston Symphony’s flagship music education program, In Harmony. This community-based afterschool music education program aims to foster community and life skills through active music making. The inaugural site of this program is DeLUXE K!ds In Harmony, situated in Houston’s historic 5th Ward community. In collaboration with partners DeLUXE Theater and AFA, this program emphasizes violin and general music instruction, involving approximately 40 students in grades 3-6.
The Site Manager acts as the main liaison to the students and their caregivers -- primarily reporting to the Houston Symphony, which oversees the program implementation and instruction, with joint reporting to the DeLUXE Theater, which oversees the involvement of students and families from the 5th Ward community and secures rehearsal facilities.
This is an hourly position that will typically include seven on-site hours each week (three after-school sessions), in addition to select performances and special events throughout the school year. Approximately 3-4 hours of administrative work each week can take place remotely to support weekly communication with families. The Site Manager will be involved in all faculty meetings to bring shared ideals and philosophies to their work.

- Attend recruitment events and assist with student registration, including any necessary follow-ups.
Facilities & Logistics Support (DeLUXE Theater Liaison):
- Liaise with DeLUXE Theater, campus, and venue staff regarding rehearsal and performance schedules, space, transportation information for students and families, and special equipment needs.
- Ensure rehearsal facilities are safe and comfortable for students, addressing issues such as broken furniture, temperature, or other on-site concerns.
