The primary responsibilities of the Delivery Supervisor are to train, direct and supervise assigned route drivers. The Delivery Supervisor will also use problem-solving skills to handle delivery issues and customer complaints when they arise, as well as promote and exemplify a safe work environment at all times.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent Managerial/Operations experience preferred with an understanding of sales concepts, personnel management, budgets, and people skills.
COMPLEXITY OF DUTIES
Diversified duties involving an intensive knowledge of a technical or specialized field within the organization requiring the use of a wide range of procedures. Must apply principles of rational systems to solve practical problems. Requires independent thinking and use of judgment to interpret and analyze facts and circumstances surrounding individual problems or transactions, and to determine appropriate action to be taken within the limits of standard or accepted practice.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Under specific direction where definite objectives or goals are established requiring the use of a wide range of procedures and the employee plans and arranges own work and coordinates work of others, referring only unusual cases to supervisor or others.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR ERRORS
Probable errors are usually detected in succeeding operations and generally confined to a single department or phase of company activities. Errors could cause some internal confusion and delay or cause customer or supplier complaints but could be detected and adjusted with little difficulty. Corrections would involve backchecking by others and would involve some monetary losses. Most work verified or checked by systems and procedures, or supervision.
CONTACT WITH OTHERS
Involves regular contacts throughout the normal working day with other persons, departments, vendors, customers, suppliers, etc. on matters involving corrections or adjustment where proper behavior and some tact are necessary to avoid friction and maintain the flow of work.
CONFIDENTIAL DATA
Work with some confidential data such as product costs, individual wage and salary rates or schedules, which, if disclosed, might have adverse internal or minor external effect.
MENTAL / VISUAL / AUDITORY DEMAND
Moderately complex, exacting work, requiring mental and visual attention in such typical tasks as statistical computations, correspondence, tabulations, etc. Work and duties involve normal mental and visual attention along with manual coordination for over 50% of the time.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Immediate supervision over a unit, section, or department of more than two but less than 10 people where most of the time is spent assigning, reviewing, checking work, eliminating ordinary difficulties, where procedures are standardized.
EQUIPMENT
Ability to operate standard office machines such as copier, computer, fax, calculator, etc. Must be able to operate electric and manual pallet jacks, and to safely operate all company delivery vehicles.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
CDL-A License and ABC Beer permit required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions one-on-one and in small group situations with customers, clients and other employees in the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and percentages to yield margins, mark-up, and commissions.
