We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Stormwater Network Operator to join our Water Services Delivery team. This is a senior operational role where you will take responsibility for advanced technical work across the stormwater network while providing confident, on site leadership to field crews. Your expertise will directly support the reliability, safety, and long term performance of our stormwater systems.
A key requirement for this position is formal, industry recognised training. To be considered, you must hold a Level 4 Stormwater Reticulation qualification, or be actively working towards it, or hold a recognised drainlaying qualification with proven experience in drainage installation and maintenance. This is not an entry level role, and we are specifically looking for someone who already has the technical capability and professional training needed to operate at a senior level. A minimum of five years’ experience in the water industry or a closely related field is essential. You will also need a Class 1 driver’s licence, with a Class 2 licence, WTR endorsements, and confined spaces certification regarded as strong advantages.
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and constructing stormwater assets, installing and repairing pipes and fittings, and ensuring that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a consistently high standard. You will be expected to demonstrate sound judgement, strong problem solving ability, and the confidence to lead and support others on site. Clear communication, a commitment to safe work practices, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment are all vital.
