A Delivery Route Driver drives a company van/truck to deliver and unload paint and paint-related products to different locations.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Drives van or truck to deliver such items as paint and paint-related products to customer's place of business.
2. Records transactions on customer receipt.
3. Records delivery information on daily sales or delivery record.
4. Collects or picks up empty containers or rejected or unsold merchandise.
5. Loads and unloads truck.
6. Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery.
7. Cleans inside of truck.
8. Ensures routine maintenance is performed on truck.
9. Completes mileage log and maintenance log on truck.
10. Repetitive lifting of weights of 50 lbs. and occasional lifting of weights of over 70 lbs.
11. When not making deliveries, assist store manager with any duties that may be assigned, which include, but are not limited to: assisting customers, re-stocking inventory, tinting of paint, cleaning etc.
12. Other miscellaneous tasks, as required.

Education & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience
• 1 - 2 years' driving experience
• Must have a valid Driver's License and good driving record
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check
• Florida Paints is a Drug Free Workplace, therefore, applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test. Employees are also subject to random drug testing.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift 50 to 75 pounds
• Frequent bending as well as sitting
• Good vision is required
