Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Delivery Operations Manager to join a leading civils and utilities contractor based in Kilkenny, overseeing works on a long-term Irish Water framework project across the Midlands and South East region. The successful candidate will be based in the Kilkenny office, with regular travel to site as required. This role involves managing multiple civil infrastructure and utility packages, ensuring safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in water infrastructure, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage teams and stakeholders across multiple locations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Overseeing framework sites and ensuring the work is completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality by effectively organising and managing the site activities.
• Working closely with the HSQE team to manage and implement H&S procedures.
• Ensure the timely delivery of project reporting and forecasting
• Deliver the project to the agreed schedule, scope, quality and budget.
• Identify and initiate necessary change control processes.
• Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
• Ability to manage the workflow of subcontractors ensuring they comply with the programme of works on site.

Requirements:

• Formal education in construction management, or related field.
• Minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience of construction management, delivering Civil and Utility projects.
• Experience of working for a Principal Contractor.
• Microsoft Office skills.
• Outstanding client relationship management skills with great client focus.
• Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards.
• A pro-active approach and a proven track record in similar role.
