Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End EMS Delivery: Maintain end-to-end responsibility for the software delivery phase of EMS projects, ensuring strict adherence to schedule, cost, and quality benchmarks essential for grid operations.
  • Technical Integration: Coordinate complex integration workflows between the Reliance EMS platform, SCADA systems, field RTUs, and external market/dispatch interfaces.

Technical Know-How Requirements

  • EMS Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of real-time grid applications (Load Flow, State Estimation, Automatic Generation Control, Network Analysis).
  • Architecture Proficiency: Thorough knowledge of the Reliance EMS platform architecture, including real-time data modeling, high-availability environments, and database management.
  • Process Excellence: Strength in implementing QA frameworks specifically designed for high-availability, mission-critical energy software.

Leadership & Soft Skills

  • Strategic Change Management: Proven ability to manage the technical migration of complex EMS legacy systems to the modern Reliance platform within traditional utility environments.
  • Stakeholder Influence: Ability to translate technical EMS constraints into business-relevant discussions with utility stakeholders, ensuring alignment between software capability and operational requirements.

Educational Requirements

  • Essential: Master’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems Engineering.
  • Desirable: Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, Prince2) or professional certification related to Energy Management Systems and Grid Automation.

Experience Requirements

  • Total Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software delivery organizations.
  • Relevant Domain Experience:
    • At least 5 years specifically in the implementation, integration, or delivery of Energy Management Systems (EMS) or SCADA solutions for transmission and distribution utilities.
    • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams in multi-site project environments.
    • Direct experience managing large-scale software deployment lifecycles, including complex FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test) phases within a critical infrastructure environment.
    • Experience in a matrix organization: Demonstrated ability to drive project outcomes within a matrix reporting structure, coordinating between global R&D, product factories, and regional operations.
