Job Description

In anticipation of an upcoming award, we are seeking a Delivery Manager to join our team on a high-profile project with a major Federal agency.

This is an innovative, high end project for a pilot program to develop a Large Language Model (LLM), Generative AI application for a highly visible government agency.

This role is responsible for the full project lifecycle-from planning and budgeting to execution, performance monitoring, and closeout. The Delivery Manager works closely with internal teams, government stakeholders, and subcontractors to define requirements, manage risks, and ensure deliverables are met on time, within scope, and budget. They employ industry-standard methodologies such as Agile, SAFe, or Waterfall, as appropriate to each project, while maintaining compliance with federal acquisition regulations (FAR), cybersecurity standards (e.g., FISMA, FedRAMP), and other applicable mandates.

The Delivery Manager also tracks and reports on key performance metrics, oversees staffing and resource allocation, and ensures that all program activities align with contractual obligations and quality standards. Success in this role requires strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills, as well as experience navigating the complexities of federal IT programs and stakeholder environments.

The selected applicant must be a U.S. Citizen, hold a current Clearance, and submit to a government background investigation and be favorably adjudicated before their first day.

This is a full-time, short-term, onsite position. The selected candidate will be required to be on the client site daily and therefore must live within commuting distance of Washington, D.C.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with the client to build the project schedule and staffing requirements
  • Maintain budget and manage project costs
  • Inform the Program Manager of project status
  • Ensure accurate and complete deliverables and quality product
  • Facilitate communication between project team and client
  • Facilitate staff acquisition, review and update position description and coordinate interviews
  • Facilitate Agile Scrum ceremonies or delegate when appropriate
  • Participate in the development of presentations
  • Work with Technical Leads to achieve client objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews, preparing and completing action plans, implementing quality standards, and removing barriers on critical paths
  • Work with Business Analyst or Scrum Master to ensure business requirements are clear and complete before development begins
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience of which 4+ years as a Program or Senior Project Manager as well as 3+ years as a Requirements Analyst
  • Outstanding organizational management and communication skills
  • Ability to work with and communicate effectively with team members (consultants, technical staff, subject experts) and clients to define project activities and resolve issues and problems
  • Excellent time management and ability to juggle multiple tasks under strict deadlines
  • Strong analytical and systems thinking skill set; ability to apply technical solutions to broad, complex problems
  • Ability to talk to clients about technology solutions with the understanding that clients are not themselves technologists, with the political savvy to know how to frame and communicate issues
  • Experience in reporting to and building relationships with federal clients
  • Possess and demonstrate excellent writing skills
  • Demonstrates creativity and responsibility in all tasks without waiting for direction from others
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Agile certification (CSM, PSM, etc)

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Experience or certification with agentic Artificial Intelligence (AI) integration within web applications
  • Comfortability working with large data sets and basic database concepts
  • Proficiency with project tracking and collaboration tools like Jira and Confluence
  • Familiarity with the Federal grants lifecycle

EDUCATION

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent professional experience

Salary: $185,000-$205,000 commensurate with experience as judged through the interview process.
