Job Description

Purpose

The Delivery Manager owns operational delivery across the software development lifecycle from requirements to release. This role ensures projects are executed with discipline, and governance standards are followed, driving quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Execution

  • Lead End-to-End Delivery:
    Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of complex software projects, ensuring timely, on-budget, high-quality outcomes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    Work with business partners to clarify requirements, manage priorities, and communicate progress.
  • Risk & Issue Management:
    Identify, track, and resolve project risks, dependencies, and issues promptly.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Implement best practices and drive process optimization within project execution.

Delivery Governance

  • Standardization:
    Define and enforce standardized delivery methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps, Waterfall) and release management practices across all projects.
  • Quality Assurance:
    Oversee QA and testing processes, ensuring consistent application and traceable results.
  • Audit & Compliance:
    Ensure delivery documentation meets audit requirements; maintain clear segregation of duties and approval processes.
  • Release Management:
    Govern release scheduling, deployment practices, and change control to minimize risks and errors.
  • Reporting:
    Ensure accurate, timely reporting on delivery performance, compliance status, and escalations.

Experience & Skills

Essential:

  • Minimum 7 years in Project/Programme Management, handling complex software delivery.
  • Experience leading multiple project teams and managing direct reports.
  • Experience in delivering commercial projects such as ERP integration, Market Place Order Management, WeChat Ecosystem.
  • Strong knowledge of delivery methodologies and governance frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive audit, compliance, and process discipline.

Desirable:

  • Exposure to rapid growth or scaling environments.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications.

Success Measures

  • Projects delivered to defined scope, timeline, quality, and budget.
  • Robust governance with clear audit trails and segregation of duties.
  • High-performing, continuously improving project teams.
  • Stakeholder satisfaction with delivery outcomes and communication.
